Burger King in social media with known Polish blogger

Burger King declared few days ago that will spend 100k of Polish Zloty for campaing in social media. But it’s not just an advertisements placed on Facebook or Nasza-Klasa (which is still much more popular in Poland that Facebook). Burger King decided that person of the campaign would be known Polish blogger. Since then I was sure that it’s all about Kominek. And of course I was right.

Today Burger King’s PR agency announced that it’s Kominek indeed. Due to cooperation Kominek will travel to U.S. and during one month he will actively communicate with the fans of the brand through social media, giving them the opportunity to influence for the final shape of the journey. The main communication channels are: Burger King Poland fan page (Facebook), Polish Burger King channel on You Tube and Kominek.in blog. Project budget is 100 thousand of Polish Zloty (aprox. 25 000 Euro).

The campaign is an experiment. Our idea is based on showing the nature of the brand by an action based on social media activities, with a focus on interactivity and participation in the action fans of the brand. Importantly, we’ll share with the results of the campaign, what we hope will be helpful for other brands in the planning the action in this new medium of social networking platforms are – says Anna Robotycka of faceADDICTED, the agency running the project.

Well, I keep my fingers crossed for the campaign and I hope that we’ll have more campaigns like this. I am looking forward for many Polish professional bloggers and many big companies that spending marketing money on blogs. Congratulations to Kominek. He proved that you can be succesful if you are consequent. Also here in Poland. Inspiring and motivating.
