Privacy? Hmmm… Forget!

Mr. Eric Schmidt CEO of Google said few words about privacy issues with Google’s products. Schmitd said: If you have something that you do not want anyone to know, maybe you should not be doing it in the first place. Well…
Of course, I realize that Google (but not just Google) collects a lot of information about each user. Collects and stores. Little reason to improve the operation of their products (ie, for our convenience), but primarily for their own benefits (ie, earn more).
I live with this knowledge, and there is no problem.
Eric Schmidt while the statement is to put it mildly weak PR. Google’s CEO spoke a sentence which at first glance it is hard to disagree. But only for a moment. Schmidt suggests that if you care about preserving the remnants of privacy, it automatically means that something is going to hide. And if you intend to hide anything, it must be at least embarrassing. And perhaps illegal.

So if in the period before Christmas I’m looking for gifts for loved ones and do not want them to know about it before 24 December is it something I shouldn’t do in opinion of Google’s CEO? Maybe I should not really use Google or Internet, better to go to a traditional store. I know that’s not the point, but this example is just as meaningful as the statement of Google’s CEO.
Google collects quite a lot of data and continually provides new products that allow them to collect more data. Perhaps after this to create more products, which will gather more data, etc. All in order to earn as much as possible. And there is nothing wrong with it, because it’s just a business.
And as I like Google and their products, so I do not like stupid translation. Sometimes it’s better to say nothing than to say one sentence too many.
