Google still buying

If anyone writes recently about Google is usually in the context of Rupert Murdoch’s company. Meanwhile search engine giant from Mountain View is consistently implementing its plans and buys another company.

As reported by The Wall Street Journal (as long as you make good use because Uncle Rupert close the door in a moment), Google acquired Teracent Corp. which has developed an algorithm used to deliver display ads. About the same transaction not more is known.

In any case, Google defies Yahoo!, which has far greater market shares in display advertising. The question is should we consider information about the agony of display adsas premature?

The technology developed by Teracent help advertisers to change in real-time advertisement parameters (format, graphics, content, product, color).

Teracent is another company involved with the ad, which went to Google. Previously, the Mountain View company bought DoubleClick (for 3.1 billion dollars) and AdMob – stratup specializing in advertising on mobile devices. This last transaction cost Google’s 750 million U.S. dollars (search engine giant paid its own shares).

Another “ad” acquisition not surprising (especially when we look at the company’s revenue – more than 90% of the revenue comes from contextual advertising). In the segment of  contextual advertising Google is unbeatable, and bought companies and their technology let actually Google’s to fight for markets where the company of Page and Brin has no dominance (and do not necessarily have).

It is clear, however, Google’s move is something else. I asked the question above and the answer in this context is – advertising display will not die, it will be more optimized and more effective (media planners breathed). Well, now we look forward to strengthening the segment of video advertising (in total is also a display) on the Internet.
