Galerianki

Like every Wednesday we went to the movie. This time we choosed Galerianki. In fact, I could write that I do not quite understand the admiration of the film and finish this article. Well but that’s not in my style yet.
The film shows young high school students. Of course, not all, and let us be frank, only that part which most visible (or is that the loudest screams). However, the characters depicted in the film is not wasting time – there are parties with alcohol, cigarettes and sex for money and gifts.
Really nothing new. Alcohol and cigarettes as a prohibited goods were always among the young. I do not know whether the scale is bigger now, I didn’t make any research yet. Certainly earlier (ie, so to speak – in my times) girls behaving a bit differently. Or my friends at school were different. And the only galleries that were known to us are those related to culture. Cigarettes and alcohol also appear a bit later, but they were. Also another matter that then the information comes slower. We did not have mobiles and internet, and the cameras were with the film inside so the rate of appearance of photos was also incomparably smaller than send out an MMS message to someone. It looks that technology has such an impact on young people
The film is about (be aware that I will described the end of the movie) 3 girls who walk around together. And actually there is one who governs, and the other two are seeking her favor. There is also a fourth, which looks at the girl from the catholic organisation for young people. These 3, and especially Milena (the one that governs) have sex with anyone and anywhere, drinking a lot of alcohol, smoking and using language which is only named Polish (by the way dialogues are as artificial as Pamela Anderson’s breasts). This new (Ala) is fascinated by Milena, and wants apparently to became friends. In an act of desperation she decided to answer to teacher instead a colleague. So begins the friendship. And Ala’s metamorphosis. Ala pleases Michael, who is also catholic organisation member looking rather. Ala swój pierwszy raz przeżywa z kolegą brata koleżanki z klasy i dostaje za to 50 zł. Ala has her first sex experiences with older man and gets 50 zł reward (it’s about 12,5 euro). But she wants to see how it is with someone who seems to feel something to her. Tries with Michal, but the sex ends after 2 seconds. Then information is distributed fast and everybody is laughing with Michal. Michael commits suicide. Przyjaźń między Mileną i Alą kończy się mordobiciem i symbolicznym zmyciem makijażu przez Alę.Koniec. Ala and Milena friendship ends with fight and symbolic washing the makeup off Ala’s face.
Thread of suicide is somewhat familiar with the case neither of Ania from Gdansk. Long ago, very similar to the story told in the film reportage was published in Newsweek. Thus, nothing new, the history of banal, weak dialogues. In total, OSTR music is the best in the movie.
Wychodzi na to, że wystarczy zrobić film o młodzieży, która pije, pali, klnie i puszcza się gdzie popadnie by odnieść sukces (czyt. sprzedać dużo biletów). It looks that is enough to make movie about the youth who drinks, smokes, swears and make sex anywhere to be successful (read: sell lot of tickets). Przykre to w sumie jak pokazany obraz młodzieży.Mam nadzieje, że do władzy w przyszłości nie dojdzie właśnie ta grupa młodych. It is sad as picture of youth shown in the movie. I hope that theywill not govern this country in the future. On the other hand, it’s better to go retire to the warm quiet places such as Portugal …
