It seems that the everything was told about Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg. The book “The Accidental Billionaires” shows the story from a different perspective.

The story begins at Harvard, but education isn’t the most important thing here. At least not in this story. Students beyond attendance at mandatory courses, trying to organize their social life. Many dreams about getting into one of the more or less elite clubs. Or in fact to be elected. Once you have become a member of the club, your life is really changing. The most important change is that the student begins to have success with women.

Eduardo Saverin really wants to get into a club and everything indicates that he has real chance. His colleague Mark Zuckerberg is not interested. He is only interested in computers and programming. He is not even interested in money, what he proved rejecting Microsoft‘s offer (but it was in the days before Harvard). When the two get to meet Bill Gates on meeting with students, Mark Zuckerberg sees his idol on stage, the man who really impresses him. Eduardo is not fascinated by the boss of Microsoft, but he likes money and knows how to get them. For example, thanks to passion for meteorology, he manages to earn 300 000 dollars from the stock market .

Eduardo gets into the club he wanted, meanwhile Mark proves to all that he is a talented programmer. He created Facemash, a website that allows to compare pictures Harvard’s students. The project brings him fame and some troubles. The project took attention of Winklevoos brothers who offer Mark a collaboration on the Harvard Connect. And basically from that time everything happens quickly.

Mark starts work on thefacebook, which in his opinion has almost nothing to do with the project of Winklevoos brothers. He He draws his colleagues from the room to project. The first is Eduardo, who is responsible for finance of company, what means that he’s making an investment worth $ 1,000. The other two colleagues are Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz.

When Zuckerberg starting the project, he probably do not expect that within the next few years he become a billionaire, star of the business and the Internet. Meanwhile, website is becoming more and more popular, so popular that it attracts the attention of Sean Parker, the creator of Napster and Plaxo. This is the second idol of Mark Zuckerberg. Mark, Sean and Eduardo meet in New York, but this meeting chnages nothing.

Finaly Mark’s decision to move to Silicon Valley and a accidental meeting with Sean Parker changes the situation. Sean becomes advisor to Zuckerberg, and helps him in dealing with investors. Parker contact Mark Zuckernerg with Peter Thiel, founder of PayPal, as well as the head of the investment fund. Fund, which invests 500 000 dollars in the Facebook. And this is probably the best investment in history, today the shares bought for 500 000 are worth over a billion dollars.

Ben Mezrich author of the book shows Mark Zuckerberg as a man devoid of scruple. For him the most important is project of his life – Facebook. In less elegant way of he is parting with Eduardo, but on the other hand everything is done according to law. When Sean Parker is arrested with cocaine at a party, Zuckerberg has no doubt: Sean Parker has to go out of Facebook.

The symbolic moment is when Eduardo Saverin meets one of the Winklevoos brother in New York club. Eduardo stands in front of Winklevoos, shaking his hand and says: “We were all deceived.”

Frankly, after reading the book “The Accidental Billionaires” hard to feel sympathy for Mark Zuckerberg. You can admire his talent, but not the way he acts with men. But maybe if he didn’t take such decisions, Facebook would be popular only on Harvard.

In the book there are often appears the motif of the girls. It seems that the creators of websites have a lot in common with rock stars. They both motivate their actions in desire to gain the favor of girls. And how can you not believe that women rule the world?

I think everybody who manage a fanpage on Facebook heard about Socialbakers. But I am not sure how many people knows that company that is owner of Socialbakers is based in beautiful Prague. I talked with Jan Rezab, CEO of Socialbakers about service and few other things.

The idea of interview came to me when I received an email from Jan Rezab informing that I became a Socialbakers Consul. What’s all about? You can find more information on Socialbakers.com and in the interview. I am still curious how this programm will contribute to all of us but I see great advantage now – it’s possibility to contact and share the knowledge with experts from all overt the world.. It’s priceless.

OK, let’s talk with Jan Rezab now:

- Socialbakers.com is run by Candytech. What you do at Candytech and who are the top managers?

- I am the CEO of Candytech/Socialbakers. Originally Candytech is a social media agency, and Socialbakers was the product. We will now be renaming the entire company to Socialbakers, and Candytech will stay the division. We are in total 4 co-founders of the company.

- How you came up with the idea for Socialbakers.com?

- The idea came when we did not want to reload statistics all day long manually, so we said as social media gurus, we have to make it easier for us.

- How you came up with the idea for Socialbakers Consuls and Ambasadors? Can you describe the idea for people who knows nothing about it?

- Dont know where the idea came from originally, but a lot of our clients are asking us to build loyalty programs for them to be able to identify their top fans and key influencers. We just wanted to do the same thing for our brand – Socialbakers.

- How succesful Socialbakers.com is in your opinion? Did you reached already your business goals?

- We think the user success is great. To be self-critical, I think we can still get many times bigger, but we are satisfied, and hope to grow faster soon.

- Is there Analytics only place that make an income for Socialbakers.com? Are you satisfied with the level on income?

- It is the Socialbakers PRO products – Socialbakers Analytics and Socialbakers CMS. We are entrepreneurs, which means were can never be satisfied and hope we can perform better soon. We have hundreds of companies.

- Can we except any US company investment in Socialbakers.com? I found an information on Facebook that you are moving to USA.

- You can expect us to move soon, and you can expect more news on this area. I can nor confirm or deny the investment.

- What you did before Candytech and Socialbakers in your professional life?

- I had a mobile content and mobile games company. Good times, I did it for 8 years, looking back, it was a great experience. I did not exit that company successfully, but it was a great ride.

- What social media means for you?

- Social media and social networking specifically means that the experience that people have online or on their mobile gets more personal, and that will mean a great improvement in relevance, user experience, and speed of connection.

- And what Facebook is for you? When we can expect Facebook stops to grow and the number of users stops to increase?

- Personally, its a great tool I use every day to keep in touch, contact, socialize. Professionally, its our daily bread, our love, and what we breath every day.

- What would be next internet hype after social media: geolocalisation, augmented reality, maybe something other?

- Definitely mobile.

- How you see Internet in next few years? What can we expect in your opinion?

- I see the entire internet evolving to be much more social, we can expect everything from reading news, shopping, and brand engagement happen in the social world. Once you try the social experience, you dont want to go back.

- What can we expect from Socialbakers in close and further future?

- Well, I don’t want to be giving anything out away, I guess you will have to wait and see, and looking at our portal, we are progressing very much in the Socialbakers PRO offering, including Analytics (http://analytics.socialbakers.com) and Facebook page management technologies (http://cms.socialbakers.com)

- Thanks for conversation.
